Newcastle Complete First Outgoing Loan Deal Of January

8 years ago

United have today completed the Adam Campbell loan deal to St.Mirren.

The expected move to give the young Geordie striker more pitch time, represents the first piece of January transfer business but is unlikely to be the last.

Campbell turns 19 today and the St.Mirren manager has already indicated  the Newcastle forward should be involved against Kilmarnock tomorrow, most likely from the bench.

Danny Lennon (St.Mirren Boss);

“I have no doubt that he will make a valuable contribution to the team, he brings something a wee bit different in terms of his effort and runs, I’m sure the fans will get a chance to see him in action against Kilmarnock at some point.

“We will be looking to maximise Adam’s potential while he helps to improve our football club.”

Campbell joins St.Mirren on a deal that talks him up to the end of this season and he joins United’s Conor Newton who remains on loan at the Scottish Premier League club.
