Judgement Day Again

Uncle Joe said “Judge me by my signings”. Of course he has said a lot of other things that were misleading, disrespectful, offensive or were just plain lies:

“Nobody will leave during this transfer window”.

Cabaye was always going to leave ever since Joe called him “Kebab”. The Arsenal episode proved that he wasn’t playing for us. He was playing for himself, to impress other clubs.

‘Get In! Another One Sold’

Anyway, he’s gone now. At the end of today Joe will have completed his first year of transfer windows at Newcastle United. He asked us to judge him by his signings.

He signed Remy on loan with a view to making it permanent at the end of the season. Clearly that won’t happen unless the player has an unlikely change of mind.

Now another player has come on loan, with a view to making it permanent at the end of the season. Heard that before?

No permanent first team signings in a whole year unless something emerges today.

So, based on his signings, how do you judge Joe?

Answers on a postcard.
