Alan Pardew ‘We’re Crying Out For Entertainment’

Alan Pardew was kicking off both during after the match, both with Manuel Pellegrini and referee Mike Jones.

While the Newcastle boss was happy to say sorry to the Manchester City boss, he was less forthcoming in letting referee Mike Jones off the hook, the whistler giving a shocking decision on Tiote’s ‘goal’ at the same Leazes end where Sissoko accidentally gave him a bloody nose less than a month ago (v Southampton).

“I apologise, he (Pellegrini) had words with me first and it’s just normal for managers and goes unseen for most of the time – we are fine and I shook his hand at the end, I will see him before I go.

“For me this is an entertainment business and the guy (Tiote) has hit a goal that Hart is just nit going to save, it goes through a number of bodies but his (Hart’s) vision isn’t impaired.

“I do not think he (referee Mike Jones) was clear in his answers about Joe Hart being impaired, I could not work it out.

“Even if Manchester City’s abck 4 are on the edge of the box and we have 4 offside, it is going top corner. He got it wrong and it was a massive call, it was probably easier for him to give the goal and I can’t understand why he has not.

“We’re crying out for entertainment, you hit a goal like that and the place is in uproar, then he has gone on a really tiny technicality and I think it’s wrong.”
