Pardew ‘Beat Arsenal And We’ll Have To Look Again At Our Aspirations’

At his Newcastle Arsenal press conference, Alan Pardew pondered whether the goalposts would move if Newcastle beat the visitors who are currently to of the Premier League.

Three points for United would see the gap close to only three points between the two clubs and make things very interesting.

This is what the Newcastle manager had to say when posed the question of what a United victory would mean;

“If we beat them then we will have to seriously start to look at our aspirations for the year.

“We have obviously beaten some good teams in the lead up to this match.

“One thing we are definitely going to need is our crowd because they could be the difference between winning and losing.

“We’ll know a bit more about this team after Arsenal.”

I’m really looking forward to the match and it is one of those where you just want the commitment & focus from both the crowd and the team to be there from the very first seconds.

Having Cheick Tiote and Yohan Cabaye reunited in the engine room is massive for the team, let’s hope that afterwards we are all reflecting on exactly what another three points have meant to Newcastle’s aspirations.
