NUFC Transfer News – Keeper Signs For Feyenoord Instead
In the latest NUFC transfer news, Warner Hahn has turned his back on a move to the Premier League and signed for Dutch giants, Feyenoord.
In recent days Newcastle had been heavily linked with a potential deal for the FC Dordrecht keeper as back-up to Tim Krul.
However, the 6ft 6 Dutch under 21s keeper will move to Rotterdam instead at the end of the season having signed a three year deal with Feyenoord, finishing this season off firstly at Dordrecht as part of the deal.
The Dutch club’s technical director Martin van Geel;
“Warner has made a big impression and with us he gets the chance to show his skills at a higher level (Dordrecht play in second tier of Dutch football) and goes into battle with our other keepers.”
Hahn himself said;
“I’m born and raised in Rotterdam, currently living 5 minutes from De Kuip (Feyenoord’s ground), when they play at home I can see the stadium lights.
“I’ll fight for my place but I’ll first focus on the rest of the season with FC Dordrecht.”
