Lyon President Confirms Bafetimbi Gomis Transfer Bids
A Bafetmibi Gomis transfer looks ever more likely as the striker didn’t even make the bench as Lyon were taken apart 4-0 by PSG on Sunday, Ibrahimovic getting two.
Also on Sunday, the President of Lyon, Michael Aulas, told Canal+ that he has received ‘several offers’ for the forward in advance of the January transfer window.
With goals the most valuable commodity, the majority of clubs will be looking at any decent available strikers in the transfer window, either to pull themselves away from trouble or to help sustain a position near the top.
When asked specifically about West Ham making an offer, Aulas said;
“An offer from West Ham for Gomis? It’s not impossible as we’ve received several offer for Bafe recently.”
In France, as well as West Ham named as an interested party, Newcastle and Stoke are also credited with a desire to sign the striker.
In some quarters it is claimed Gomis prefers a move to Germany, while in Italy clubs such as Fiorentina and Roma are said to want him, as well as a number of Russian clubs.
January looks likely to see a repeat of the summer chaos surrounding Gomis and it would appear highly likely that nothing with be sorted quickly as both Lyon the player and his current club hold out for the best possible deal in the transfer window.
