Loic Remy ‘Time To Sort The Men From The Boys’
Newcastle’s top scorer was back amongst the goals on Boxing Day and the Loic Remy Arsenal challenge is up next.
Two goals against Stoke means that Remy will be in the perfect frame of mind to face the club who once featured his boyhood hero;
“It is true Thierry (Henry) was one of my idols when I was growing up and so it is quite a special match for me – but you’ve got to remember every game is important for us, especially these massive games such as on Sunday where you’ve got two really top teams going against each other.
“That is where you see the best and the men sort themselves out from the boys.
“I know it is going to be a battle but I think we can go out there…it would be a fantastic Xmas present for the Newcastle fans.”
So will Newcastle’s prove themselves to be men against boys on Sunday? One thing Loic Remy wasn’t in any doubt about was that his next goal(s) was/were just around the corner;
“I was not sure when it would come back but I knew it would. I get fantastic service, people always give me great balls into the box and so I knew it would come straight back. In adversity you have to react, you’ve got to be able to face up to difficult times.
“It is true that there are moments when the doubts start to come into your head bit I wasn’t too worried as I knew it would come.”
