Claim Of Renewed Cabaye Arsenal Interest
It has been reported that there is renewed Cabaye Arsenal interest, with fears of another move for the midfielder in January.
The Chronicle are reporting that the Newcastle playmaker was watched by Arsenal’s scouting team with the possibility of a more realistic bid to follow their attempt to steal him for £11m in the summer.
Ironically, the two teams meet in their final games of the calendar year, before the winter transfer window opens once again.
At the moment you have a Newcastle midfielder in great form and an Arsenal team threatening to once again be very serious Premier League contenders.
If Cabaye and Arsenal’s form continue then despite the wealth of midfield talent, unfortunately there is every chance Wenger could see Cabaye as a player who could offer something a bit different in the engine room, especially with Arsenal also fighting a Champions League campaign.
PSG were credited with renewed interest in Cabaye the other day and a key factor in that was seen as Cabaye’s availability to play in the Champions League as he won’t be cup-tied unlike just about any other top line midfielder playing for other clubs.
Brace yourself and keep enjoying the games, January is still six matches away.
