Two Newcastle Stars Make France Starting Line Up But No Cabaye

It was expected that Didier Deschamps would choose between Loic Remy and  Manchester City’s Nasri for tonight’s match in the the Ukraine.

However, the French coach has selected both in his starting line-up in a surprise move.

In sparkling form for Newcastle United, Mathieu Debuchy also plays from the start, though again surprisingly, there is no room for Yohan Cabaye.

Ironically, Loic Remy’s selection may have helped have a knock-on effect which has meant Cabaye is amongst the substitutes, with both the City midfielder and Newcastle striker playing, it has meant one less place to go around.

Moussa Sissoko has also not made the starting line-up and joins Cabaye on the bench but it looks as though Remy will take a wide spot as Arsenal’s Giroud seems certain to be playing through the middle.

Good luck to all four of our French players tonight and indeed the rest of them in our squad, it will surely be a massive incentive for the rest of the season if Brazil awaits next summer.
