Mike Ashley and The Plasticine Pardew

We obviously are all aware that Ashley is the puppet master and everyone has to dance to his tune, but when is it time to say enough is enough?

You don’t bite, or disrespect, the hand that feeds you, but Pardew has taken his role as a sycophant to a whole new level. He’s said on numerous occasions that we need more players and even specified the positions he needs them for, yet when none arrive he trots out that he’s happy with his squad.

His apparent contentment at contradicting his own statements is possibly why  his mate decided to sack  a perfectly competent Manager to give him a job. Ashley obviously sees him as akin to a bit of plasticine he can mould, shape and bend over in any way or form he pleases, and Pardew just takes it!

Ashley must be very insecure as he seems to find the need to surround himself, certainly at NUFC, with YES men. Llambias appears to be the only one with guts or conviction, although he’s no loss.

Pardew apparently has this 8 year contract but with Ashley’s ‘zero hours contracts’ background I cannot believe it would entitle Pardew to a payout of 6/7 years,  if he ever got sacked, but frankly he may need it. His capacity for backtracking, sucking up to the boss no matter what, and frankly making himself look weak and foolish cannot be endearing him to any possible future employers.

Being a football Manager cannot be an easy job but surely you need someone strong minded and not such a pushover as this bloke? It’s about time he grew a pair and realised what everyone else knows, Ashley is making him an apologist for his hated ownership of the club and he’s dragging Pardew down with him.

I have no respect for Pardew, which I’m sure won’t bother him at all, but if he had any respect for himself, and had any thoughts of his future employability prospects, he should go now.
