Loic Remy ‘I Can Do More’ – At Newcastle United?
Newcastle striker Loic Remy continues in sparkling form and his clever movement for the opening goal set United on their way to another three points against Norwich on Saturday.
The forward has now contributed 8 of Newcastle’s 17 league goals, a massive contribution but also a worrying one in that we are so reliant on a player, who isn’t even United’s, to do the most difficult job for the team.
“We had to work hard and we put pressure on them at the start, which is why we scored very quickly.
“However, we also conceded and it was a little bit my fault as I didn’t stay on the post, we have to be careful about these sorts of situations, all the rest though was very good.
I think I can do more, I’ve just been back with the national team and I was a little bit tired.”
Always the sign of a good striker that they still get a goal even when it isn’t one of their better displays but with goals in such short supply from elsewhere, you can’t help but worry that the days are simply counting down until Newcastle are left in the lurch when our in form goalscorer disappears and United are back to square one.
