A massive match tonight for a number of Newcastle players, their country, and of course by association, Newcastle United.

Friday saw United French contingent with their World Cup dreams seriously at risk as Ukraine won by two goals to nil.

Mathieu Debuchy and Loic Remy started the match and while the United full-back played the whole game, Moussa Sissoko replaced the Newcastle on loan striker in the second half.

Most surprising of all was that a player who had been a certainty until the Arsenal non-transfer fiasco summer, Yohan Cabaye, never even left the bench.

However, French publication L’Equipe has claimed that they understandDidier Deschamps is going back to a more tried and trusted formula for this must win game (by at least 2 goals) rematch tonight.

The likes of Remy, Giroud and Nasri dropping to the bench and Cabaye, Benzema and Valbuena amongst those coming back in to the starting eleven.

L’Equipe are claiming their information tells them Debuchy will though retain his place in this starting eleven;

Lloris, Debuchy, Sakho, Varane, Evra, Cabaye, Pogba, Matuidi, Valbuena, Ribery, Benzema
