Even Obertan A Better Bet Than This Player?

In a team that reeks of inconsistency there is one player we can always count on to put in the same performance week in and week out. I think it is fair to say Pappis Cisse is beyond the point of bad form.

Last season, Cheick Tiote was in bad form but seems to have bounced back to his usual dominating self, if only the same could be said for Cisse. Not only has he lost his scoring touch but Cisse offers very little if anything to the team at all. Too many times this season Cisse has been given the ball in a good position and wasted it by rushing with a terrible shot or trying to pick out an awful pass, though most of the time his speciality is just giving the ball needlessly away.

I’m sure everyone knows that a team is a joint effort with every player playing their own unique role, and it could be argued that a striker is the most important role, because without goals a team simply can’t win.

Cisse is a striker who has gone 15 games without a goal in the premier league. I think the Cisse we were all entranced and amazed by at the end of that glorious 11/12 season is a thing of the past.

Every time Pardew even put him on from the subs bench on I can’t help shouting in frustration, I would much rather see Remy, Gouffran, Ben Afra, the Ameobi brothers, heck i can’t believe I’m even saying this, but even OBERTAN(!), before I’d see Cisse be brought on.

All other options seem to add, no matter how much or how little, some kind of advantage to the team whereas Cisse offers none.

In my eyes he is now one of the worst strikers in the league. Why? I wish I knew.

I think it is fair to say Pappis Cisse is beyond the point of bad form, he’s just plain bad.
