Tiote Urges Ashley To Splash The Cash
Cheick Tiote today urged Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley and Director of Football Joe Kinnear to make Loic Remy’s move to Tyneside a permanent one.
The French striker signed for United on a season-long loan for the duration of the 2013/2014 campaign and has started his Toon career with a bang; scoring 5 goals in his last 3 matches. Remy’s two most recent goals came in Newcastle’s last match, away to Cardiff City.
“I hope the chairman will buy him, he’s already shown how important he is for us.
Loic is a great player, he scored two more fantastic goals (against Cardiff). I hope he will continue to score because we need him and we need his goals; against Cardiff they were the difference between winning and losing.”
Since Remy joined the Magpies from QPR during the summer just gone, Hoops manager Harry Redknapp has already hinted that Remy will not be returning to the London side. However, after the start Remy has made to life on Tyneside, the United board will have to ensure they secure his services before other potential suitors come calling.
