Striker Counts Up How Much He Owes Newcastle
With Loic Remy revealing that he should be fit to face Australia in an international friendly, the player has also taken the opportunity to talk about how much he owes Alan Pardew and Newcastle United.
While the player was non-committal at the weekend about the possibilities of a permanent deal at Newcastle, this is what he’s had to say over in France;
Last winter the manager already showed his faith in me, even though I chose to go to QPR instead. He has now shown faith in me a second time this summer and I owe him in repaying that.”
So how much does Loic Remy think he owes Alan Pardew?
After dropping Newcastle United and Pardew (and us!) in it when he disappeared and signed for QPR in January, I would suggest quite a bit.
When you take into account Newcastle offering Remy a route out of Championship football when nobody else was keen, I think the debt becomes an awful lot more.
Remy obviously is ambitious to be in Brazil next summer and he certainly wouldn’t be back in the French squad even if he’d scored a dozen goals in the Championship.
