Press In North West Claim Pardew Is Interested In Manchester United’s Hernandez
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is said to be mulling over a bid for Manchester United’s out of favour Mexican striker Javier Hernandez.
According to press in the north west, while Hernandez has stated he does not think he will find a bigger club than the Red Devils, he has also made it known that he feels he may have to move on in order to find more regular playing opportunities.
It is thought that the Mexican who has made just two starts for the Manchester club this season, resents his ‘supersub’ tag and feels his career would profit more from a regular place in a starting line-up.
Newcastle manager Pardew, a long-time admirer of the young Mexican who emerged onto the world footballing scene following an impressive display at the last World Cup, is thought to be keen on a January move for Hernandez, however it is not known how Director of Football Joe Kinnear feels about such a move.
However, even if Newcastle do progress this claimed interest it still seems a longshot as the striker is also reported to be attracting the attentions of AC Milan and Juventus.
