Pardew Blames The Referee For Derby Defeat

Alan Pardew was left grasping at very thin straws after the derby defeat today.

After agreeing not to answer questions posed by local journalists on Mike Ashley’s orders, Pardew did speak to Newcastle United’s very own Pravda – The Official Party Approved Mouthpiece – NUFC TV

“It is difficult to take because after the first period of the game I thought we were the better team throughout.

“We got the goal, pushing for the win, and we were done by a sucker punch. The referee had a hand in that, it was never a free-kick. We just switched off from that free-kick and it has cost us dearly.

“They was obviously fired up with the new manager and everything but we were definitely the better side, no doubt about that.

“I would like to have had a few more crosses today but when we came inside we threatened the goal. If one of those goes in then there is only one winner.”

Despite reporting under these new stringent restrictions we can still exclusively reveal that the manager is talking utter rubbish.

Even if it wasn’t a free-kick, the mackems getting possession on the touchline halfway up the pitch doesn’t then equal gifting Sunderland the winner.
