Odds Slashed On Pardew Next Manager To Be Sacked

9 years ago

With Paolo Di Canio getting the boot, the bookies believe at the moment it is now a two way battle to be the next Premier League manager to get his marching orders.

The betting market has plenty of interest with Alan Pardew currently only second favourite behind Fulham’s Martin Jol.

The current odds see Jol at 1/2 and Alan Pardew at 2/1, though two former Newcastle managers are closing up behind.

The following three in the betting are;

9/1  Chris Hughton
16/1 Sam Allardyce
16/1 Ian Holloway

This weekend’s fixtures could see a major change over, while Newcastle & Pardew travel for a tricky match at Cardiff, Fulham & Jol have a must win game against Stoke at Craven Cottage.

A defeat for Jol and he could well be gone, while a win for Fulham and defeat for Newcastle would almost certainly see Alan Pardew installed as the new favourite, at least in the bookies’ eye….if he is still at SJP after the weekend.

Obviously Mike Ashley is a law unto himself but all the indications are that Pardew’s relationship with Ashley, whatever that may have been, clearly now appears to have worsened.

What would be best for Newcastle United is something that isn’t at all clear at the moment, especially when you see the betting for Newcastle’s next manager……
