No Joy For United Kids
It was a third defeat in a row for Newcastle United’s youngsters this on Saturday as Tottenham Hotspur’s Under 18 side left Newcastle with all three points.
After a spirited opening to the game by United, they fell behind to the first of two Shayon Harrison goals when the youngster finished with aplomb after a pull-back from Anthony Georgiu. Newcastle dug deep though and were level just before half-time through Jonathyn Quinn.
Spurs though had arrived on Tyneside having won eight of their last nine fixtures, and that confidence showed as it was they who were able to grab the decisive goal; Harrison again finding the net as he scored from the rebound of his own saved shot.
So another defeat for United’s youngsters who must look to turn their season around quickly, even at this early stage.
