Newcastle Winger Says He’ll Give It Until December
I’ve often thought over the years that sometimes our players need protecting from themselves when dealing with the press.
Some players get over exposed in the press because others don’t want to do it, while some players who have done next to nothing to suggest they deserve a game should be very limited in terms of how often they talk to the press and what they say when they do.

“I will see what is going on until December and see what is best for the club and me. I obviously can’t keep being on the bench and not involved
It is a test mentally and you must keep focusing on an opportunity because you never know when it will come, I will be ready for it.
If I get a chance I will do what I did against Leeds, if the occasion shows up I will be there.”
Anybody who was at the Leeds match will know that the visitors looked absolutely knackered by the time Obertan came on and yes he found space behind their defence but made a feeble effort when through one on one with the keeper and it being easier to score, while he also passed up another opportunity.
I very much doubt one person in St.James’ Park thought ‘Surely it’s worth Alan Pardew giving him a chance at the weekend…’
Even with Newcastle’s small squad he is miles away from the first team and in December surely he has to accept that his only route is to go out on loan if he still believes he has the potential to offer anything to Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest were allegedly interesting this summer and he should have grabbed the chance with both hands.
