Newcastle Striker Set For Loan Switch

There are reports in Scotland that St.Mirren are set to take on loan yet another of Newcastle United’s promising young players.

After the success of Connor Newton (on loan again at St.Mirren currently) and Paul Dummett’s loan periods, it is reported north of the border that Adam Campbell will follow in their footsteps come January.

Campbell turns 19 on New Year’s day and is a player desperately in need of matches to progress his career and a chance to show what he has got.

Newton and Dummett of course ended up lifting a trophy last season which was a massive bonus but the teenage Geordie striker will just be grateful for the chance to play first team football, albeit at a lower level than he’s hoping for at Newcastle.

With the North Shields forward struggling to even get on the bench at the minute, it would certainly appear to be an arrangement that would work for the player and both clubs
