Helping ‘Bring Back The Noise’ To St.James’ Park
A group of supporters aiming to ‘Bring Back the Noise’, to St James’ Park will be attempting to roar United into the quarter finals of the League Cup against Manchester City tonight.
Division ’92 is a coming together of Newcastle fans from all walks of life with the common goal to add to the atmosphere at St James’ Park on match-days. Having originally formed over social media platforms such as Twitter, the group have been working directly with the club to promote a new singing section within the ground.
Until recently, that singing section has been housed in the corner of the East Stand and Gallowgate Ends, but, due to ticket restrictions imposed by the club for tomorrow night’s game, Division ’92 are relocating to the Gallowgate End.
Jonathon Foster of Division ’92 told the Chronicle “the one big target is to bring back an official singing section to St James’ Park.
Division ’92 feel the atmosphere at St James’ Park has dropped off in the last few years and an official singing section can have a big impact on the team’s fortunes.
We have been attending regular meetings with the club to ensure we don’t jump into mistakes and errors.”
Division ’92 hope to achieve their target for the benefit of not only the fans, but the club also; by grouping together all fans who are interested in standing and singing at the game, they feel that they can help reduce the number of complaints the club receives from fans whose match-day experience is affected as a result of those standing around them.
Division ’92 are an open group, available to any fan who wants to help “bring back the noise and show pride and passion for our football club.”
