Tiote Points Finger At Player Who Can Win The Three Points At Everton
While you are grateful for any goals that come your way, managers would almost universally prefer their strikers putting most goals away than other parts of the team.
Confidence is a massive factor, especially for strikers, and so Alan Pardew would have been pleased relieved to see Cisse get off the mark against Leeds and then the Senegalese striker’s possible replacement, Yoan Gouffran, then scoring a cracker.
With Cisse nailed on to stay in the team, his teammate Cheick Tiote has picked the striker out as the potential match winner tonight at Goodison Park, this is what he had to say to the Northern Echo;
“When you’re a striker and you don’t score for a while then your confidence can go down but he hasn’t been too bad.
He’s a strong boy and he’s tried his best to get over it, maybe Everton should be worried now! I hope so, I’d love him to score and for us to win the game.”
