See Where Newcastle United Rank In The YouTube League Table
Clubs in the Premier League are looking for all kinds of way to interact with fans, reaching out to them via Facebook and Twitter, the end result being of course that they are hoping it helps to get money of your pocket.
The great attraction of social media is that you can get your message out for practically nothing to thousands, and indeed millions, of fans.
No doubt you will have heard of YouTube, video clips on every subject imaginable, viewed for free and used by many businesses to help get their message out there.
Our friends at FCBusiness magazine have pointed us in the direction of this league table that has been drawn up of Premier League football clubs who have their own YouTube channels.
Chelsea are top of the tree with 260,000 subscribers, followed then by Manchester City with 174,000 and Spurs with 48,000.
Newcastle currently have the 12th highest total of subscribers with 3,597, a figure also exceeded by the likes of Fulham, Crystal Palace and Swansea.
Some clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Stoke and the mackems don’t have their own YouTube channel for whatever reasons.
In terms of the number of videos they have for fans to view, Chelsea and Manchester City have well over a thousand, whilst Newcastle have only 68.
Hopefully Newcastle will embrace these opportunities to help grow the club and expand the popularity and appeal, United need to be using every avenue available to them, especially free ones in these financially tough times.
