Newcastle Midfielder Makes Latest Court Appearance

Back to fitness and hoping to be included in Alan Pardew’s line-up at Villa, Cheick Tiote will have to take time out of training today to make his latest court appearance.Tiote is charged with using a false Belgian driving license and also faces four other related offences.

The midfielder is accused of allegedly using the false document as a kind of ID ‘to establish personal information’ about himself, back in December.

He is further accused of then using that allegedly false document to get a UK licence.

Tiote will appear at Newcastle Crown Court to enter his pleas today but his legal team have already indicated he will plead not guilty.

A provision date for the trial has been given as October 28th.
