Injury Concerns For Pardew On Two Best Players

Newcastle United are likely to need to be on best form tonight at Goodison Park if they hope to take anything in terms of points.

To do that Alan Pardew will need his top performers on the pitch and two of those this season aare undoubtedly Loic Remy and Fabricio Coloccini.

The defence usually looks a totally different proposition when Coloccini is around, while Remy looks arguably Newcastle’s biggest goal threat with only maybe Hatem Ben Arfa as competition.

However, Alan Pardew had the following top say at the weekend;

“Coloccini got a tough old tackle towards the end of the Leeds game in midweek but we are hoping he is ok, while Remy got a little strain on Tuesday, though he’ll be back training soon.”

With players picking up knocks it can get tricky because obviously Alan Pardew will be desperate to have his best players such as Remy and Coloccini out on the pitch tonight.

However, we saw last season that Newcastle’s small squad undoubtedly meant that at times players were played when ideally they shouldn’t have been and this led to longer absences through injury than would otherwise have been the case.
