If You’re Thinking Of Bringing Bed Sheets To The Match, You May As Well Buy Them From Sports Direct

I understand I am a little bit in danger of repeating myself but I feel it has to be said.

Tonight sees our beloved Newcastle take on Leeds. Talks of a mess protest ‘Ashley Out’ and all that was ripe two weeks ago to the point that’s all everyone talked about.

It all was suppose to take place tonight, “lets really hit Ashley in the pocket” screamed some, “only way to make him see how we feel is to not go to that game” said the rest.

For some reason it hasn’t happened yet nothing has changed behind the scenes at the club either. It’s not as if Ashley has come out and said the right thing…as he hasn’t said anything. It’s not as if Joe Kinnear has come out and said the right thing (I’d put my mortgage on that never happening) so what is it? I can only put it down to team performance. The second half against Fulham – Morecambe – Villa seem to have stopped all of protests.

I am in real danger of falling out with the entire club, walking away and not checking the results because of it. Banging my head against a brick wall. If 99.9% of fans want him out lets act on it. My Grandma always used to say “actions speak louder than words”, nothing more true in this situation. Let’s not have the bed sheet brigade out tonight, that’s pointless and will not work. You may as well go and buy the bed sheets from sports direct while you’re at it, it has that much effect.

There are so many recent examples of when fans stick together with one ambition it can be achieved. Everton are changing their badge back because fans kicked off. West Ham fans got together and protested about signing a player (Belgian Ilombe Mboyo) because he had a past conviction for rape.

Bolton were going to be sponsored by a pay-day loan company and look what happened, the fans kicked off and the potential sponsor was jettisoned.

Let’s treat Ashley like a Spanish bloke when you go on holiday, if he doesn’t hear or understand you SHOUT A LITTLE LOUDER and repeat the process till he gets the signal.
