Fortress St.James’ Park…
Well that lasted all of 48 hours after the fateful statement from the mouthpiece of the club.
His statements now hold as much value as his tactics, team selection and of course his substitutions, which we all know are way below what should be the standard for a Premiership manager (Think 2-2 then introduce Marveaux and within seconds it is 2-3!).
However, one thing is absolutely true, without fear of contradiction, is that Pardew is the master of achieving nothing from something. We should and could have been joint top of the Premiership on Saturday tonight yet we are now in the bottom half!!!!!
If Mike Ashley only does one thing let it be that he stirs himself to sack Pardew and replace him with someone who knows better…..obviously not the current D of F…ball.
Our easy run of fixtures, with the exception of Man City away, 7 points is a pathetic return and bodes badly for us later in the season when the challenges become much harder. I can’t wait for the latest excuse for the latest let down.
With 50k+ yet again, it is absolutely time now for fans to take the appropriate action to rid our club of this awful regime. Unfortunately, it has been demonstrated quite clearly that all previous protests fall on stony ground and that the only real protest left is to cut off the supply of money flowing through Ashley’s pockets.
I know it is difficult, but think back to the old days when John Hall, as he was known then, attempted to buy the club. He was only successful because fans stayed away, making the club, for the existing Directors, a financial liability.
It is difficult but the only viable and effective response, for to get change such as a decent owner, manager and DOF, is to boycott the club and starve Ashley of his wealth stream. Forget all the crap about loans etc and keeping the club alive in the Championship, this man is asset stripping our club and lining his pockets with our money.
Let’s stand up together now and reclaim our once famous club and ensure that any future owners will embrace the views of supporters and actually include fans in the decision making process.
Failing that, a generous and benevolent benefactor that exists at Chelsea. Man City etc etc.
Thinking of it, and with hindsight, we got a bummer.
