Coloccini Gets Agitated
After this Saturday’s disappointing defeat to Hull City, Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has claimed that he and his team-mates shared angry scenes in the dressing room, but has urged them to react in the right way against Leeds United in the League Cup on Wednesday evening.
This is what our captain had to say to The Journal;
“We have to turn the page. We have a game on Wednesday. There were bad feelings after Hull: frustration, anger, everything you’d expect. It’s difficult to talk about it because a lot of things happened on the pitch that I’m angry about. It was a great opportunity to take three points against a newly-promoted Hull City team.”
Coloccini was also blunt in his predictions for the future if United did not turn performances around. “We have to start taking the chances we have, if not we are going to have problems. We don’t to be where we were last season. If we are serious about getting back into the top 10, we have to be looking to beat teams like Hull.
We have to learn. We now have to go into the game against Leeds and get the win to go through in the Cup.”
