Alan Pardew “Oh I Think Our Fans Will Remember He Managed Sunderland!”
Alan Pardew’s confidence appears to be growing in line with his players.
After the demoralising opening day, both on and off the pitch, at Manchester City, things have gradually picked up with each successive Premier League match.
Nobody will need reminding that our last home league match against Hull came on the back of the disastrous Keegan situation and arguably the defeat that day was the difference between survival and relegation in the end.
This time around though, Pardew certainly feels his team is on the up and surely a repeat of the level of performance at Villa Park will give United another 3 points.
This is what the manager said to the Newcastle United TV channel;
“I definitely feel that looking from the sidelines my team has more power to it, more offensive options, and I think that was something that we were searching for last year, particularly in the second half of last season.
So this season I would like to think we are going to have a much more ‘Newcastle’ looking team, in terms of attacking-wise.”
When asked about the return of our mate Steve Bruce putting an extra edge to the occasion, Pardew was on top form with a smile on his face;
“Oh I think our fans will remember that he managed Sunderland and will be reminding him.”
