The One (or Two) Word Answer Newcastle Need To Give Arsenal

8 years ago

So Alan Pardew is outraged with Arsenal’s bid for Cabaye, well why should that be the case seen as our manager has almost daily been telling everybody that he is for sale (‘no bids yet’…’really hope he stays but every player has price’ etc etc).

When Monday afternoon saw news come out of Arsenal’s £10m bid, surely the only answer is NO, or a less polite two word response.

Don’t Sell Kebabs, Yohan Kebabs…

Obviously the answer from Mike Ashley was always going to be no (at £10m) but it was what else that happened that tells us everything.

After the match Alan Pardew pointed the finger at Arsenal as a major factor for creating the shambles we all endured last night;

“A tough night for this football club, in more ways than one.

I’m really disappointed with the timing of Arsenal’s bid for what is our most creative player and his head’s been turned. He hasn’t played tonight when we have done three days of preparation.”

Arsenal make a bid, so what?

If you believe Cabaye has refused to play at City then clearly he should be fined however many weeks wages.

However, surely we all know the reason why our French playmaker was withdrawn from last night’s ‘action’.

Pardew has had the ‘For Sale’ signs up and now a bid has come in he now has ‘Under Offer’ plastered all over his midfielder and been removed from the shop window, you don’t risk the goods getting damaged when you are desperate to sell.

Naturally the word will have come down from Ashley, and then Pardew is left to blame Arsenal, and also the ‘head-turned’ Cabaye in reality.

So no blame then for Ashley, Pardew, Kinnear or anybody else connected with our football club?
