Something For The Weekend
It’s been a golden summer of British Sport with Andy Murray winning Wimbledon, a Lions series victory in Australia and the cricketers winning the Ashes in the North East with a test to spare.
Now we are finally back underway in the Premier League and it’s a tough opening set of fixtures for the punters to get stuck into.
However, Bet Victor are helping out with their trouble free treble offer (Place a Treble on the Opening Weekend of the Premier League season with Bet Victor and get a FREE treble on the following week’s Premier League matches! For full terms and conditions click HERE).
To get us started I’m siding with WEST HAM at home against new boys Cardiff at even money.
Next up it’s reigning champions MANCHESTER UNITED, who I expected to be odds on, but are available at even money against last season’s success story Swansea.
Manager David Moyes won last season’s opening fixture against his new team at Goodison Park but Manchester United will need to get off to a flier with tougher fixtures coming up in the next few weeks and I think they can do just that with RVP showing his sharpness in last weekend’s Community Shield.
I’m going to take a punt on the last leg of the treble but NORWICH VS EVERTON DRAW jumps off the page at me. Norwich have made some good acquisitions with Hooper and van Wolfswinkel but I think Everton will be tough to beat and both teams may cancel each other out. It’s worth noting that 3 of the last 4 meetings between these two have ended in a stalemate so at 12/5 I’m in.
If we land the treble we’ll be looking at a nice wedge as it pays just over 12.5/1. If we don’t land we are simply back to the drawing board with a free bet thanks to Bet Victor in the pocket to take on the bookies with next weekend.
