Pardew ‘Transfer Market Is Always Frustrating For Managers’

Talking in advance if Manchester City, can Alan Pardew give us the lift we all need?

At his press conference,the Newcastle United manager talked about the transfer market and United’s place in it;

“I think we’ve been actively pursuing two or three players and i still think that we’d like one or two more transfers.

Transfer market is always frustrating for managers because you want the best players you can get to make the squad as strong as it possibly can be.

The figures the top clubs are  paying out is ridiculous, we can’t compete with them on a financial level. We have to be clever and shrewd in getting players who are same quality for lot less money.

We hope to pull it off again.”

I’m pretty sure that we all share Pardew’s frustrations with the transfer market but the difference between he and the fans is that Alan Pardew SHOULD be able to influence what happens with the buying and selling of players.

Not many supporters believe the manager has much, if any, say in terms of who comes and goes – surely a desperate state of affairs that gives no chance of long-term success or stability.

Using phrases like ‘I THINK we’ve been actively pursuing two or three players’, surely as manager of our football club he must KNOW, mustn’t he?
