Newcastle United – What Is In A Name?
Why Mike Ashley bought Newcastle United and what he wants to do with it are at the very heart of countless discussions whenever two or more Newcastle fans meet.
Like all owners of clubs, at some time he will leave.
What concerns me most is what happens in between.
For some bizarre reason I subscribe to Newcastle United’s weekly newsletter, they normally pick some feeble stories to highlight but one thing did catch my eye this time.
This is what was at the bottom of the newsletter;

The sharper ones amongst you may have noticed the ‘deliberate’ mistake. The sad thing is though that I don’t even think that it is a cynical use of the ‘SD’ name, I just think that Ashley has cut everything at the club to such an extent that they don’t even have enough people working there to avoid embarrassing mistakes such as this.
With the club run in such a shoddy way and on a shoestring, how on earth anybody expects real positive news in the transfer market is quite beyond me.
