New Teammate Begs Fans To Give Nile Ranger A Chance
It isn’t the best situation when a club signs a player and one of their established stars has to plead with fans to give the new arrival a chance.
This is the case though at Swindon where keeper Wes Foderingham has asked their fans to give Ranger a chance.
Nile is having a busy few days as after signing a one year contract with Swindon, he made his debut as a sub in a two goal defeat at Shrewsbury on Saturday, before this Wednesday appearing again in court, this time on the charge of rape that hangs over him.
Foderingham is a friend of Ranger and has said this to the Gazette & Herald;
“As a person he’s a very happy person who is easy to get on with and likes a laugh with the boys.
He’s quick on the turn and can score goals and is also good with the ball at his feet.
He will be the first to hold his hands up and say he has done things wrong but he is still a young guy and with the time and support of fans he can turn it around.
He is young and will make mistakes, people getting on top of him and hounding him for it isn’t going to help.
He know he needs to change and he is looking to change his ways and start afresh here, I would jusrt everyone to give him a chance.
We spoke and I told him the club would be perfect for him because it is a settled family club and if he comes in with the right mentality, I am sure he will be welcomed.”
I bet Ranger is glad Paulo Di Canio isn’t still at Swindon as he has taken no prisoners at Sunderland since his arrival with regard to behaviour and attitude.
Needless to say I struggle to wish this waster well after he took the mick out of everybody associated with Newcastle United.
