Good News/Bad News On Newcastle United Injury Front
Only hours away until Newcastle United kick off their home campaign against Sam Allardyce’s West Ham United.
The good news is that Alan Pardew has confirmed that full-back Davide Santon will definitely be available today.
The manager saying:
The Italian full-back had been suffering from a hip problem and ironically for a defender, it is providing a spark going forward that is maybe the most valuable thing Santon can add today.
Sadly though, Santon’s understudy Massadio Haidara has had an injury setback.
After a quicker than expected recovery from Callum McManaman’s assault last season, Alan Pardew has confirmed a new setback which is thought to be linked to that original injury inflicted by the Wigan thug.
With Debuchy not exactly impressing many fans as yet, there would have been more than a few supporters happy if Haidara had slotted in on the left and Santon switched to the right.
However, with that option now ruled out, let’s hope that Santon can be back to his best and Debuchy belatedly show his undoubted pedigree on Tyneside.
