French Public Give Their Verdict On Cabaye’s Destination
Depressingly, the Yohan Cabaye story has dominated headlines on Tyneside and to an extent countrywide.
Little surprise then to see that over in France the Cabaye situation has also filled plenty column inches.
The latest move has seen L’Equipe ask the French public where they think Yohan will be when the transfer window closes.
This is how they presented their poll (with thanks as always to Pierre for the invaluable translation services);
Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle)
The Newcastle manager, Alan Pardew seems to have accepted the idea of losing Yohan Cabaye before the end of the summer transfer window on September 2. Two years after his arrival from Lille, the midfielder wants a change of scenery.
Last season, the Magpies fought to remain in the Premiership rather than playing a leading role. A year to the World Cup in Brazil, Cabaye seems to have two interesting and meaningful potential exits:. Arsenal and PSG Paris have indeed reactivated their interest in Cabaye and the latter could benefit from the fact that Newcastle do not want to see the player strengthening a competitor in the Premier League.
According to you, Yohan Cabaye will …
stay at Newcastle?
sign Arsenal?
sign for PSG?
