Even Sam Allardyce Sees Joe Kinnear As A Massive Problem
Having to agree with anything which comes out of the fat oaf’s mouth is always hard to swallow.
However, on this (one) occasion I do find it hard to disagree with what Sam Allardyce has to say.
This is what Sam had to say to the Daily Mail about Newcastle’s management ‘structure’;
“If the director of football is not promoting the players that the manager wants to buy but the players he wants; it is a massive problem.
I was very surprised when they appointed Joe, he obviously built up a good relationship with the owner the first time he was there. I know Joe has a huge amount of experience but he could have made life easier if he’d not made the public statements he has made.
I had a director of football at my first job at Blackpool and i think it depends on the relationship you have or build.
It also depends on the relationship between you, the owner and director of football. There can be Chinese whispers behind your back, if you start getting that scenario then the director of football becomes a bigger obstacle than a help.”
If they are ‘Chinese whispers’ behind Pardew’s back then they are bloody loud.
Anybody who thinks that our manager and director of football are working in perfect harmony, must be even balmier than JFK himself.
