We All Knew This Would Happen – We Hoped It Wouldn’t

So, Alan Pardew was interviewed on SKY before the Motherwell friendly and when asked about new signings, he answered the question in singular fashion…’we’re hoping to get a new signing over the line this summer…’

After the match, ‘yes we’re looking to get a new striker in’.

What happened to all the ‘signings’, having a thin squad and getting rid of players but only recruiting one.

What happened to looking at the squad and moving players on who were deemed not good enough – Obertan was on the bench – why is he still at the club?

I saw a quote from Pardew about Paul Dummett saying; “He’s an Academy lad and there’s nothing better than producing your own.” Tell that to Shane Ferguson, has Dummett now surpassed Ferguson – Pardew used to rave about him! Now it seems the Academy lad is moving on! As he’s not even mentioned by the manager.

We all knew this would happen, we hoped it wouldn’t, but we knew that the new signings would be existing players coming back from injury and having them available, we knew the new signings would be the ones bought in January (even though we were promised an overhaul), we all knew from JFK’s comments that we weren’t in a position to spend without a plan being proposed.

What happened to all the winnings, new TV money, 52,000 people coming through the gates, reduced wage bills etc etc

We certainly don’t have a lot of staff to pay outside of the playing staff, if we do – then they’re not exactly doing much are they

Continuously frustrated by the deafening silence!!

Oh – and PS – what on earth is happening with Cisse – can we have an official statement please.

Oh and PPS – why do I subscribe to when there is no news on there and it is always behind with updates – still no goal action from the Motherwell match.
