The Video That Is Essential Viewing For Mike Ashley

8 years ago

It is interesting what you sometimes find when you are not really looking for it.

When many people ask why doesn’t Mike Ashley understand X, Y or Z about Newcastle United, don’t we just go and find something that has been under his very nose all of this time.

One of Newcastle United’s ‘partners’ is Thomas Cook Travel. Like many Premier League clubs, Newcastle have a relationship with the travel company who are referred to as their ‘travel partners’.

Thomas Cook organised some trips to Europa League matches for fans and in addition they sell packages for people wanting to travel to St.James’ Park, including accommodation etc.

Anyway, I came across the video they have been using to promote matches at St.James’ Park, well worth a watch of it regardless to see what they see as the main selling points of both NUFC and the City of Newcastle itself.

However, here are a few of the highlights that Mike Ashley might like to take notice of when he ‘s giving the video a watch, he might then realise just what a potentially great success story (on and off the pitch) he could be sitting on;

Newcastle United is without question the heart and soul of the city

Most passionate set of fans

Supporting the Magpies is something of a religion and St.James’ Park is their place of worship

Stadium dominates the skyline

This famous old club enjoys a rich heritage within the sport

Matchday is when the City really comes alive

If you want to show your support more expressively, head to one of the many official club stores (before Mike shuts those he hasn’t already closed!)

The final punchline;

No pre-match ritual would be complete without a trip to Shearer’s Bar….
