Four years ago today, Sir Bobby Robson passed away.

As well as managing Ipswich and the national team, Bobby managed in five different spells in three countries on the continent.

A Great British export but always a true Geordie.

He at last made it home to manage his childhood football club, Newcastle United.

Not only that but he brought three top five finishes and Champion League football to Tyneside.

Best of all though we didn’t go in and just make up the numbers.

It is sad when great people pass away but the difference is that unlike us mere mortals, we can relive memories of Sir Bobby’s life that brought so many special moments.

We bring you possibly his finest moment as Newcastle manager, a fitting video tribute thanks to The Mag’s YouTube channel. Sir Bobby we salute you.
