Pardew Announces Tonight’s Starting 11 And Clearly After A Morale-Boosting Win
After a tame opening period that saw United quickly go three goals down in their last friendly against Rio Ave.
Alan Pardew has made his intentions clear that he is desperate to avoid any repeat of that early surrender.
The manager had already stated that he would be including Captain Fabricio Coloccini for his first run around of pre-season, his influence hopefully giving a calming effect to the rest of the defensive line, which he has further strengthened with Debuchy also included.
Pardew had indicated that Hatem Ben Arfa would also see his first action of the summer and I’ll have everything crossed that he will stay injury free and be a shining light in this murky negativity currently surrounding Newcastle United.
As for our strikeforce tonight…
The opening line-up to take on Pacos De Ferreira is;
Elliot, Debuchy, Mapou, Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Sissoko, Sammy Ameobi, Shola
The subs;
Alnwick, Santon, Williamson, Dummett, Jonas, Marveaux, Gouffran, Vuckic, Campbell
