Flying High To Help The Alan Shearer Foundation

Take to the skies (well get yourself up to Newcastle Airport anyway!) this weekend and do your bit to help the Alan Shearer Foundation.

The Foundation is the adopted charity of Samson Aviation and they have organised a raffle to help raise funds for the Alan Shearer Foundation.

Amongst the prizes on offer are an iPad Mini, return flights from Newcastle to Aberdeen and M &S vouchers

The raffle will be drawn at a Community Day this Saturday (27th July) which is to be held at Newcastle Airport’s private jet facility grounds to celebrate 25 years of the Sunderland Air Show. Many of the aircraft who take part use Samson as a base for the event, including the Red Arrows, who will be starting the display at 1pm and an RAF Typhoon which will be taking off at 4.45pm.

Samson is opening its land to the public for the first time for great views of aircraft taking off and landing. The site opens at 12.30pm and to help raise funds for the Alan Shearer Foundation, a £5 per vehicle entry fee will be made which includes entry into a draw to win a trial flying lesson with Northumbria Flying School.

Refreshment stalls we be on site and the event can be accessed only from the airport freight road off the B6918.

Raffle tickets are priced at £1 each and are available now from St.Cuthberts Care’s head office; contact Nicola Milne on 0191 228 0111.

Winners will be announced on the Alan Shearer Foundation and Samson websites.
