Exclusive: Kinnear Prepared Mick Harford’s CV For Mike Ashley

One of our spies has just managed to sneak out of Mike Ashley’s HQ with a copy of Mick Harford’s CV that was presented to Mike Ashley.

Sky Sports reported this morning that Harford was due to be appointed as an ‘assistant’ to Joe Kinnear, with the Chronicle then later confirming his ‘appointment’ and so we got our man straight on the job.

We can reveal that Harford presented his CV to Joe Kinnear who thought it needed to be made a bit more ‘interesting’.

We would have reproduced the actual document here but after JFK got to work with his crayons it made it a bit tricky but below we’ve reproduced some of Harford’s best selling points….with a little help from his mate with the crayons.

(Sir) Michael Harford CV OBE CBE VC MBE

(Why My Mate Mick Would Be Great In Alan Pardew’s J…)

An instant bond is ensured with the Newcastle fans as I’m from the area (born and bred a Mackem and supported Sunderland all his life)

Never tasted defeat as a Manager in the Premier League (never managed a club in the Premier League)

Just missed out on a century of England caps (by 98)

Scored an own goal on purpose to help the opposition club avoid relegation (That  one is true! – Admitted later that he scored an own goal on purpose when playing for Derby against his beloved Luton on last day of season – the result which kept them up)

Director Of Football experience at one of the World’s biggest clubs (that is the Bedfordshire part of the world – Luton Town)

Broke all kinds of records managing top European side Rotherham (managed them to a run of 17 games without a win before getting the boot)

Disappointed not to match Sir Bobby Charlton’s record of 49 England goals (just missed out by 49)

As a player won every personal award going (Apart from PFA player of year, Football Writers player of year…)
