Claims That Papiss Cisse Has Been Banned From Training With Rest Of Team
Along with the rest of Newcastle United’s players who had international football commitments this summer, Papiss Cisse has only returned to begin training this weekend.
There had been reports/rumours/muckraking over recent weeks that the striker was going to refuse to wear the Wonga logo on his shirt because of the extortionate interest rates that the moneylender charges.
Now it is claimed by The Mirror that when Cisse turned up to train on Saturday, he was forced to work alone in the gym due to the dispute/stand-off.
Over the summer I haven’t seen one quote from Papiss Cisse on the matter, so we are reliant on what the newspapers have said and hearsay.
Similarly, there has been no official statement by the club regarding whether Cisse did train alone yesterday and if that is indeed the case, whether there is a simple/innocent explanation for him not publicly training with the other players.
