Cisse Reaches Agreement With Newcastle United To Wear Wonga Shirt

To the relief of everybody connected to Newcastle United, it has been reported that the club have reached agreement with Papiss Cisse to wear the new shirts bearing the sponsor’s logo.

Whatever has or hasn’t been said, this can only be good news as with no signings seemingly imminent, the thought of losing our best and only real out and out striker was horrendous.

Sky Sports News have broken the story and revealed that the club have agreed a deal with the striker.

Hopefully we will now see pre-season start in earnest with a proper focus for the team up front.

The next friendly coming up is at Blackpool this weekend and all eye will be on Papiss to see if he lines up in the ‘Wonga Derby’ against Blackpool.

Let us all hope that this is the start of a run of desperately needed good news with new quality signings joining the one that looked like getting away.

Let the focus now shift to getting things right on the pitch rather than the never ending nonsense off it.
