Alan Pardew Could Live To Regret His ‘Blow The Doors Off’ Comment – Video Special

Alan Pardew has been talking at some length about Newcastle United’s position in terms of keeping hold of their best players.

This isn’t original as we’ve heard it all before, but you can always trust our manager to come up with some decent one-liners.

When talking about the likes of Hatem Ben Arfa and Yohan Cabaye earlier this week, Alan Pardew came out with the following;

“I feel we are in a strong position financially, to hold onto our players.

If one of our top players goes then it will be a bid that ‘blows the doors off’. That is it.”

Maybe our manager has been taking acting lessons during his long absence following Joe Kinnear’s appointment, as he looks to have reprised one of the great lines from a classic figure.

According to Joe Kinnear and others we hate anybody who isn’t born within spitting distance of the Tyne but one cockney who holds a special place in our hearts is Michael Caine, absolutely brilliant in the classic Tyneside based ‘Get Carter’ film of the sixties.

It is though from one of his other classic roles that we bring you Michael Caine today, watch below and hopefully Alan Pardew’s amusing comment on our summer transfer situation won’t play out as per this video clip.
