Alan Pardew Breaks Silence After 25 Days “We Hope To Get Some Transfers Over The Line…Plus Some Out”
If you were expecting something dramatic when Alan Pardew broke his silence for the first time since Joe Kinnear’s arrival, then you are going to be disappointed.
Whatever has gone on behind the scenes at St.James’ Park, Alan Pardew is back in the same old groove of the usual party line.
With the likes of Harper, Simpson, Perch and soon to be Gosling out of the door, fans are understandably concerned that not one senior player has yet been recruited, but the manager is insisting there is just as likely to be more departures because the squad is a little ‘thick in places’;
“Between myself, Lee (Charnley – Club Secretary) and Joe (Kinnear), we hope to get some transfers over the line. Plus some out by the way because the squad is a little thick in places.”
As for how it all ‘fits’ together….
“Graham comes up with one or two suggestions, I come up with one or two…and we present that to Joe. Then Joe presents that to the owner…then hopefully Lee Charnley comes in and hopefully gets it over the line.”
