Tiote Called To Account
The latest high profile football player to be hauled before the courts is Cheick Tiote.
A combination of players ever more powerful motors and/or extra problems caused by an increase in players/drivers from abroad, has helped exasperate problems.
In Tiote’s case he has been charged with five offences, which include fraud and using a false identity document.
It was back in February when Cheick was stopped by police near the training ground and his car seized, with the player accused of using a fake Belgian driving licence to get a UK one.
He has now been bailed to appear at Newcastle Crown Court in July, with the court finding that a Magistrates Court were unable to deal with such a charge as using the false identity document.
In short the five charges Cheick Tiote faces are;
Fraud by false representation.
Possessing an ID document that was false and that he knew or believed to be false, to get a Belgian driving licence.
Providing false information in order to obtain insurance.
Driving his Chevrolet without a licence.
Driving without third party insurance.
