Only 1 In 10 Newcastle Fans Believe Kinnear Will Leave Newcastle Before Pardew & Cabaye
With the unrest and upheaval at St.James’ Park, we wanted to judge public opinion and who the supporters saw as most likely to be still guiding Newcastle United along in the coming months and years.
We picked arguably the most influential player, the manager and the new (returned) starter.
The question we asked was; ‘If You Were Given A Free Bet, Who Would You Back to Leave Newcastle United First – Yohan Cabaye, Joe Kinnear or Alan Pardew?
Thanks to everybody who voted, I wasn’t quite sure how it would pan out but I was most definitely surprised at how extreme the voting was.
Only one in ten (10%) of you thought Joe Kinnear would be out of the door before both the manager and arguably our best player.
So despite the disbelief and clear dissent form the fans at the appointment of JFK, only a small percentage hold out hope that his visit will be a short one.
No doubt the speculation surrounding Cabaye hasn’t helped the speculation around the French midfielder but too have over two thirds (67%) of fans thinking we’ll still be watching one of our best players after the likes of Kinnear and/or Alan Pardew have left is pretty damning, particularly after the way fans’ perceptions of the manager heading downwards generally this past season.
Alan Pardew has declared he is going to fight on but with Joe Kinnear hovering and unless results bounce back, that 23% who still think he is here to stay for at least some more of his eight year contract will quickly diminish.
